About the firm

Our client has been a key player in the SME segment of the Business Advisory Services arena for several years. The firm is widely recognised as a trend setter in the Auckland market and their impressive growth is driven by innovation and cutting-edge technology.

Due to sustained growth, the opportunity has arisen for a senior Business Advisory professional to join our client in a newly created role with strong client management focus.

 

About the role

Your initial focus will be on workflow and client management. This is a hands-on role and during your first 12-16 months with the firm your key responsibilities will entail:

• Preparation of year-end financial statements
• Tax compliance
• Monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Systems advisory work
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

The role is envisaged to evolved and the right candidate will be given the opportunity to step up into a Manager role with a much broader work scope. In the longer term, you will take on team management responsibilities while assisting the Partners with a spectrum of operational and strategic initiatives.  

 

About you

You are CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 4-5 years current NZ CA experience, preferably within a sizeable CA firm. Ideally, your strong technical foundation in client accounting and tax compliance will be complemented by at least some exposure to Advisory projects.

This role has been described by our client as a steppingstone to a Leadership role in the medium to longer term, including equity Partnership potential for the right candidate. Therefore, we are looking for a highly articulate individual with well-developed people and client-facing skills.
