The firm
Our client is a well-known brand with long and successful history in the professional services sector.
With leading expertise in all key service lines in the chartered accounting sector, this forward-looking organisation is a trusted advisor to many small, medium and large businesses across all industry sectors.
The firm has an influential national presence and global reach with a unique culture combining the benefits of relatively small and friendly teams, part of a lager and well-established organisation.
The tax practice is led by highly respected partners recognised for their leading expertise in their field.
They are supported by a team of more than 30 Tax professionals at various stages of their careers.
The work environment can best be described as friendly and positive and offers some of the best opportunities for professional development and career progression in the industry.
While this role works under one of the Partners, the Tax practice uses a pool system, which means everyone in the team works under different partners depending on the assignment.
This means exposure to a diverse client base, broad work scope and a lot of variety. Regular training, weekly and bi-weekly tax updates, team lunches, monthly and quarterly social events define the vibrant and constantly evolving team culture.

This role represents a mix of people management, client servicing, business development and the successful candidate will be involved in a broad spectrum of high-end tax advisory projects.
Our brief for this role is somewhat broad and may suit a range of professionals from strong intermediate and senior consultants to assistant managers.
This is a generalist tax role with strong focus on advisory projects for SME (mostly entrepreneurial) clients. As a tax generalist you will be exposed to a broad spectrum of advisory engagements for complex entities.
We are looking for
· a fully qualified (CA and/or legal) tax professional with a minimum of 3-4 years NZCA Tax experience, preferably within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm

This is an attractive opportunity that will appeal to a self-driven professional looking to broaden their skills and get a better-defined career progression path.
The firm and the tax practice are growing, and this means unlimited potential for career progression for the aspiring.
