The role
Current team dynamics have created the opportunity for a tax manager to join the practice in a key manager role in Auckland. This role represents a mix of people management and client servicing. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad spectrum of high-end corporate tax compliance and advisory projects.
Our brief for this role is somewhat broad and may suit a range of professionals - from strong assistant managers looking to step up into a manager role to accomplished managers with partnership aspirations.
This is a generalist tax role, and the successful candidate will be exposed to a broad spectrum of high-end corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements for a wide range of entities.
You will work closely with a range of clients (including individuals, trusts, group structures and large corporates) assisting them with advice on tax structures and helping their businesses grow.
While this role works under one of the partners, the Tax practice uses a pool system, which means everyone in the team works under different partners depending on the assignment.
This means exposure to a diverse client base, broad work scope and a lot of variety. Regular training, weekly and bi-weekly tax updates, team lunches, monthly and quarterly social events define the vibrant and constantly evolving team culture.
We are looking for
- a fully qualified (CA and/or legal) tax professional with a minimum of 5-6 years NZCA Tax experience, preferably within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, with
- with proven reviewing experience with corporate tax compliance
- up-to-date knowledge of NZ tax legislation
- generalist technical skills in all aspects of tax compliance and advisory
