Our client is medium-sized CA firm with long history in the CA sector in Northland. The firm has a team of 30 staff and boasts modern internal systems and processes. Their client base is diverse and consists of a range of entities including, trusts, partnerships and sizable companies and group structures. The firm's clients operate across a wide range of industries such as farming, manufacturing, pro[erty, retails, construction and others.
Due to sustained growth, the opportunity has arisen for a senior business services accountant to join one of the teams in the firm.
Our client is looking for a technically competent professional with proven client-facing experience in the field and strong work ethic. This is a client-facing role that requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:
- reviewing financial statements and tax returns
- reporting to clients
- monitoring the quality of staff work
- a degree of autonomy in leading our compliance team
- identifying opportunities to add value to your clients
- providing tax advice and support for your clients and the team
What our client is looking for:
- minimum of 5 years NZ CA experience in business services
- previous reviewing experience
- experience with building and managing client relationships
- detailed knowledge of income tax and GST, FBT requirements
- good working knowledge of Xero and other accounting software packages
