This leading professional services firm with long history in New Zealand and substantial global presence offers the full range of audit, accounting, tax and business advisory services. The firm has a sizeable client base that consists of a broad spectrum of entities across all segments of the economy.
The firm's clients vary widely and many of them are subsidiaries of substantial overseas business groups with multi-million-dollar turnover.
This role represents a mix of statutory reporting (including IFRS), management reporting, tax compliance and client advisory.
Some of the main duties and responsibilities include:
- preparation of financial statements
- tax compliance and advisory
- budgeting & forecasting
- managing a portfolio of key clients
- managing own workflow
- supervising and guiding junior and intermediate team members
- assisting client with business advice
- providing clients with advice on systems and trouble-shooting/assisting clients with issues related to accounting software
- various other ad hoc responsibilities.
In addition to the essential technical competencies in client accounting and tax, this role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to establish and manage relationship with key clients.
The diverse nature of the firm's clients means exposure to a wide variety of technical areas and world class opportunities for continued professional development and career growth.
We are looking for a CA or CPA qualified or nearly qualified professional with a minimum of 3-4 years NZCA experience in the field. Some of the firm's clients are quite large and complex, which makes the requirement for IFRS experience within a larger firm essential for this role.
