Our client is a highly regarded 4-partner chartered accounting firm based in a popular city-fringe location. The practice is well-established and boasts a diverse client base consisting of SME's operating across most industry sectors.
Over the years the firm has established a reputation for low staff turnover and high employee satisfaction rates. Due to internal team dynamics combined with sustained growth we have a new opportunity for an articulate individual with good work ethics to join this friendly and supportive team.
We are looking for a strong intermediate or early senior business services accountant with a minimum of 2-3 years current experience in all aspect of business services.
Your solid hands-on experience in preparation of financial statements, management accounts and tax returns will ensure you will meet the technical requirements for this role. The role is client-facing and works closely alongside the partners in the firm.
The successful candidate will work with broad spectrum of SME clients operating across various industries including property, investment, construction, retail, manufacturing and others.
Some of the aspects of the role will include:
- preparation of financial statements
- monthly/management reporting
- tax compliance (filing various tax returns such as Income Tax, GST, PAYE, FBT etc.)
- budgeting & Forecasting
- advising and assisting clients with various systems issues/training/trouble shooting, etc
- various other ad hoc duties and responsibilities
Ideally, we are looking for an accountant who has recently completed their professional studies (CAANZ or CPA Australia). The firm is a long-standing ATE organisation and provide management support for your studies towards full CA/CPA qualifications, if you are still studying towards your full professional designation.
Strong computer skills and good working knowledge of Xero and MYOB AO are essential for this role.
