Location: Auckland - Central/City fringe
Work Type: Permanent Full Time
Reference: SC11925
Our client is a boutique CA firm with a loyal and diverse client base. Located in a handy Central Auckland location, the firm has established strong niche presence in the SME segment.
The practice has grown impressively over the past 25 years and boasts an impressive client list of a broad spectrum of entities operating across many industries. The majority of the firm’s clients are in the $5mil-$10mil annual turnover range although there are several clients with significantly higher revenue.
The team structure is relatively flat although our client is contemplating establishing a 2IC/or manager role in the future to streamline some of the director’s current responsibilities.
Our client is fully cloud-based and makes good use of modern technologies. The team culture is relaxed and friendly. The firm’s work environment is likely to appeal to candidates who prefer a quitter office where team members focus on getting things and going home to spend more time with their family, friends and loved ones.
Sustained growth and current team dynamics have created the need for a senior business services accountant or c client manager to join the team. This is a newly created role that requires the talents of a CA/CPA qualified accountant with 4-5 years current NZCA experience.
The role reports to the managing director and requires proven client servicing competencies and good technical grounding in financial accounting, management reporting and tax compliance.
Supervisory and reviewing skills, while not a must, would be advantageous for this role.
This can also be seen as a role with equity directorship potential in the long term (7-10 years) for the right candidate. There is also the potential for the right candidate to step up into a newly created manager role in the short to medium term.
At this level you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work largely independently without the need for much supervision from the director is essential for this role.
In return for your skills and experience, our client will offer an attractive salary, onsite car park, full financial support for your professional CA/CPA membership and continued professional development. You will also have a one-day-per-week work from home option and flexibility around work hours.
