We are looking for an articulate individual with a minimum of 2-3 years NZ CA experience with client accounting and tax compliance. This is a client-facing role, and the successful candidate will take early responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients.
Therefore, your good grounding in all aspects of client accounting, tax compliance and business advisory and impeccable written and verbal communication skills will be crucial for your success in this role.
Some of the key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of year-end financial statements
- Monthly management reporting
- Special purpose reporting
- Preparation of various tax returns, including GST, PAYE, Income Tax and others
- Reviewing and supervision of junior staff
- Acting as a first point of contact advisory to a wide range of clients (on a range of accounting, tax and systems issues)
- Liaising with Inland Revenue, Lawyers, Banks and other third parties on behalf of your clients
- Various other ad hoc tasks and responsibilities..
Ideally, you will be studying towards a CA or CPA designation or may even be recently qualified or in the final stage of your studies.
